The current Palace Theatre opened on January 14, 1926. The theatre, built by George J. Biehler, was designed to be state-of-the-art.

The opening night program included:

• The feature film "His Secretary"
• A cartoon
• Pathe News
• A Hal Roach comedy

Music was furnished by a ten piece orchestra.
